Good AI work includes fallbacks, evaluation examples and a human handoff path. Prefer specialists whose listings state their evaluation approach and what the agent will refuse to do.
If the steps are known in advance, a deterministic automation is cheaper and more predictable. Use an agent when the input is open-ended. A good specialist will tell you which you need.
