This policy explains what personal data Softqora ("we", "us") collects when you use softqora.dev and related services (the "Platform"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have. The Platform is operated by Papple World FZE LLC, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (the "Operator"). For data protection purposes the Operator is the controller of the personal data described here.
If anything below is unclear, write to support@softqora.dev.
1. What we collect
We collect only what the Platform needs to work. Softqora is pre-launch: accounts, payments and seller verification are not yet switched on, so some items below describe what we will collect once they are. It falls into four groups.
Information you give us. Account details (name, email address, password hash, role as buyer or seller), profile content (bio, skills, portfolio links, work history you choose to add), project briefs and messages you write on the Platform, files you upload, verification submissions, and anything you send to our support address.
Information created by your use. Project workspaces, saved briefs, listings, proposals, order records, and the work-mode label (Human Built, AI Assisted, AI Generated + Human Verified, or Automated) attached to listings and deliverables.
Information collected automatically. Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from the IP address, and timestamps. What is stored in your browser is described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from others. If you sign in through a third-party identity provider, we receive the basic profile data you authorise. If a client or former employer takes part in a verification check, we receive their confirmation.
We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers on our own servers. When payments are enabled, card and bank details are handled directly by a payment processor.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Examples | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Provide the Platform | Create your account, run AI Project Match, host workspaces, show listings, process orders | Performance of our contract with you |
| Safety and trust | Fraud checks, abuse prevention, enforcing the Acceptable Use Policy, running Softqora Verify | Legitimate interests, and legal obligations where they apply |
| Communication | Service messages, security alerts, responses to support requests | Contract and legitimate interests |
| Improvement | Measuring which features work, fixing errors, testing changes | Legitimate interests |
| Marketing | Product news and offers by email | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Legal compliance | Responding to lawful requests, keeping records the law requires | Legal obligation |
Where UAE law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data) or another law requires consent for a particular use, we ask for it.
3. How AI features use your data
AI Project Match and other AI-assisted features process the text you submit (for example a project brief) to produce recommendations and blueprints. By default this is done by rules running on our own infrastructure. When an AI model provider is switched on for a feature, the text of your request is sent to that provider acting on our behalf, and only the content needed for the request. We will name the provider here before it is used for personal data. We do not use the content of private project briefs or messages to train AI models without your separate, explicit permission, and we will not agree terms that let a provider train its general models on your content.
AI output can be wrong. Recommendations are suggestions, not decisions made about you with legal or similarly significant effect, and a person can always review or override them.
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only in these situations:
- Other users, as you direct. A buyer sees a seller's public profile and listings. A seller sees a buyer's brief and name once the buyer sends a proposal request or places an order. Public profile content can be seen by anyone.
- Service providers. Hosting and infrastructure, database, email delivery, analytics and error monitoring, AI model providers (when enabled), and (when payments are enabled) payment processing. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Professional advisers and authorities. Lawyers, auditors and insurers, and public authorities where the law requires it or to protect rights, safety or property.
- Business transfers. A successor if the Operator is involved in a merger, financing or sale of assets. We would tell you and the new owner would be bound by this policy.
We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Our providers operate in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the UAE and outside your own country. Where this happens we rely on a recognised safeguard, such as contractual protections that require the recipient to protect the data to a standard comparable with the law that applies to you.
6. How long we keep data
We keep data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. As a guide: account and profile data while your account is open and for up to 12 months afterwards; order and invoice records for the period tax and commercial law require (generally at least five years); server logs for up to 12 months; support correspondence for up to three years. When a retention period ends we delete or anonymise the data.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to certain processing; receive it in a portable format; withdraw consent; and not be subject to a decision made solely by automated means that significantly affects you. To use any of these rights write to support@softqora.dev. We may need to confirm your identity first and will respond within the time the applicable law requires, normally within 30 days.
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully you may complain to us first, and you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use measures that are appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to staff who need access, and logging of administrative access. No online service is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data in a way that creates real risk, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
9. Children
The Platform is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Cookies and similar storage
We explain what we store in your browser, and how to control it, in our Cookie Policy.
11. Third-party links
The Platform links to seller portfolios and other external sites. We do not control those sites or their privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy
When we make a material change we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, tell you by email or a notice on the Platform before it takes effect.
